It’s easy to understand why Dovecote gets such good reviews. It’s location in working farm in the midst of the Welsh country side is lovely. The local landscaping is wildlife friendly. Any pond is an asset and Dovecote has 2. We saw Jays, a willow warbler, buzzards, a woodpecker and a nuthatch in the first 15 minutes. A highlight has to be the double spa bath. The local valley walk is wonderful. The woodlands are barely touched. Strumble Head and Dinas Island are really accessible. The rental price is very reasonable.
We have just spent a lovely relaxing weekend at The Dovecote. The wood burning fire and underfloor heating ensured the cottage was a warm and comfortable place to spend a long weekend. A chilled bottle in fridge on arrival and complimentary toiletries were a nice gesture. The outlook onto the gardens and surrounding countryside areas were outstanding. The icing on the cake was our time spent in the sun/garden room. A lovely start to the day, with a coffee, watching the wildlife. Becoming an oasis of calm of an evening, chilling in the spa bath by tea light, sipping a glass of wine, easing aching muscles. Bliss! Highly recommend, and would love to visit again.
If you fancy a relaxing holiday this would take some beating. Set in a beautiful valley, and so quiet. The accommodation is very good, and it has to be a unique design. The Preseli hills are all around you and 3 miles to the coast. Went up Foel Eryr what a view.
Thank you for providing a home form home experience, the place is amazing and so well equipped, what more could you want?? Weather? Well we had it, lovely visit to Skomer Island, saw the Puffins and an abundance of beautiful wildlife on the rugged Pembrokeshire coast. We had a lovely relaxing stay and we will be back if you will have us – many thanks!
Last minute booking took 6 and a half hours to reach destination, worth every mile travelled. Cottage was beautiful had everything you could ask for, arrived feeling very stressed left feeling very refreshed and chilled. Due to the weather (very wet) we spent a lot of our break at the cottage, was a haven of peace. .... the log burner, spa bath, kitchen a joy to cook in, wonderful bird life, very timid black cat that we tried to befriend with no luck.......Will definitely return for longer next time and explore more of the Pembrokeshire Coast and pray for better weather. Did not want to leave xx
